Money problems delay Super Eagles’ journey to Zambia

Nigeria's football team will arrive just 22 hours before their 2018 World Cup qualifier against Zambia after being delayed because of financial problems.

The players were supposed to leave the country today.

They are now expected to land in Zambia on Saturday afternoon, and only train once before facing Zambia on Sunday.

Amaju Pinnick, the head of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), told the sports committee of Nigeria's senate that the NFF had difficulty paying for a charter flight and accommodation.

The NFF boss also confirmed that the country's Europe-based players were ordered to buy their own flight tickets and fly economy to join the training camp in Nigeria's capital, Abuja.

In August, Nigeria's Olympic team only arrived hours before their first match because of transport difficulties.

South African woman claims dead ex-boyfriend is demanding sex from her (photos)

A woman whose former boyfriend died in 2014 claims he is haunting her.

Thre woman
The woman (29), from Bhobhoyi, KZN in South Africa said at the time of his death the man was no longer her boyfriend.

She told Daily Sun that when the man (35) died, he was already living with another woman in the Eastern Cape.
“A few months before his death we had been living together in a one-roomed house. We
had built the house with the money we made from piece jobs.”
The woman now lives with another man in the house.
“My lover is currently building on two more rooms.
“But this seems to have made my dead ex-boyfriend jealous, because I have not had peace since he began to build.
“He’s haunted me every night since February this year,” the woman said.
“He gives me hot klaps and even demands sex from me.
“He asks me about my new man and demands that I leave him.”
The woman said she has left her house and now spends most of her time at her new man’s shack.
“We have stopped building until I get a traditional healer to help me. I’ve been to sangomas but the muthi they give me to chase away his spirit doesn’t seem to work.”
Her new lover has promised to continue with the building as soon as they have found help.
“He doesn’t klap her when she is with me. If he was still alive I would have talked to him man to man,” said the man.
Sazi Mhlongo, president of the South African Traditional Healers Association, said the woman should seek help from an inyanga, not a sangoma.
“A strong inyanga will be able chase away the man’s spirit,” he said.

British man meets Nigerian wife through dating site; their love story will melt your heart!! (pics)

This amazing love story of Micky and Faith who met and married through online dating site will melt your heart. Micky, a British man said that while people thought it was all a scam because lets be hones with ourselves, Nigerians have a very negative reputation. However, they persevered and today, their marriage is a testimony.

 Micky shares their inspiring love story;

'Love knows no colour or distance, our relationship proved that as my beautiful wife Faith is from Nigeria and I’m from England, we met online and the distances seemed impossible and we had people on both sides telling us is isn’t real, it’s a scam, and if it isn’t, that we are too different for it to work out. And we will only end up giving up and much more. But our love for each other grew so did our strength.

To the point that we were willing to do anything to be together, as my loving wife proved by waiting a
whole year for me to travel to meet her. As much as it was so difficult for her because she got mucked couple of times, but I am so glad she got support of her family that helped her through it.So we ignored everyone and I traveled to her. We are now married and we are about to start our beautiful mixed family. True love conquers all and will always prevail'.

102 year old woman fulfills lifelong dream of getting arrested and handcuffed (pics)

This made me smile...my life long fantasy is parachuting off a plane. Lol. What are your deepest fantasies?

Some people have life long fantasies and, while some are daring, others are just plain hilarious. Eddie Simms, a 102-year-old Missouri woman fulfilled her life long dream of getting 'arrested' and handcuffed.

With the help of officers the St Louis Metropolitan Police Department and staff at the Five Star Senior Center, she was 'arrested,' handcuffed and placed into the back of a patrol car last week.

When asked if she enjoyed her ride last Friday morning, she told KPLR: "Oh yes, handcuffs and all."

"She was so excited that she can ride in a police car and she said, 'Do you think you could put those handcuffs on me?'" Michael Howard, executive director of the center, told ABC News today. "A St. Louis county car pulled up next to the police and Edie holds up her hands with the handcuffs on. She's just a riot."

She celebrated her 102nd birthday on September 25.

See the smile on mama's face... so sweet.

If you are ordained as a pastor does not mean you can lead a church - Majid Michel

Award winning Ghanaian actor, Majid Michel has weighed in on leadership and how people misuse it.

Read the motivational message below...

"True Leaders are more concerned about discovering a purpose to improve the life of humanity, that's more important than their personal ambition, so they sacrifice themselves to accomplish something for the greater good. We find that rarely these days. Most people we call Leaders are simply professional manipulators, and they are actually more concerned about their own promotion than promoting the people. A leader is born when a human discovers something more important than their personal ambition. Leadership is not something you pursue. it's something you discover. Leadership has nothing to do with you. it has everything to do with the people. Winning an election does not mean u are a Leader. it means you are a politician. if you are ordained as a pastor does not mean you can lead a church. LEADERSHiP is not a right. it's a privilege. And it's a privilege given to you by the followers. And if the followers don't know how to identify with good and effective Leaders, then we will continue to have mediocrity in Leadership. #LEADERSHiP"

Lady sets pregnant woman ablaze because her husband didn't marry her (photo)

Operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Bauchi State Police Command have arrested one Lami Clement, 22, for setting a pregnant housewife ablaze.

The suspect who hails from Tafawa Balewa local government area of the state attempted to set ablaze a housewife in their apartment at Sabon Kaura, a suburb of Bauchi metropolis.

Sources said that Lami attacked Amina Lawal, 23, an indigene of Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State, in her house.

Lami reportedly bought a gallon of petrol, which she poured on Lawal and then set her ablaze with a lighter.

According to the source, the victim sustained burns on parts of her face, hands and thighs.

Speaking to newsmen at the Police State Command Headquarters, the suspect said she had a relationship with the husband of the victim, Mustapha Ayodele, for three years, but he betrayed her and married Amina.

She said, “I did not actually go there to burn his wife; my intention was to go to his house and burn all his property.
I did not know his wife was in the house. He jilted me after long years of relationship and married another woman.”

Giving her own account of the story, Amina Lawal, who is currently recuperating at the Orthopaedics ward of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital, Bauchi, said that on the day of the incident, she was in her house when she heard a knock on the door and she opened it and ushered in the visitor.

She said after the suspect had entered the house, she brought out a gallon and poured the petrol in it on her.

Lawal added that after that, her assailant brought out a lighter and set her ablaze; after which she ran out and locked her inside.

“She poured petrol on me and set me ablaze. I removed my clothes and tried to open the door, but she had locked it from outside. It was when my neighbours heard me shouting ‘Fire! Fire!’ that they came to my rescue.
My husband told me that Lami tried to discourage him from marrying me because she had some affection for him, but he did not know that she could go to the extent of harming me,” Amina explained.

Also speaking on the incident, Mustapha Ayodele, husband of the victim, said that on the 26th of September 2016, he was at work when he received a call from a neighbour that his house was on fire.

“I rushed home and met my wife burnt all over. We reported the matter to the Yelwa Divisional Police Station, after which they transferred us to the emergency ward of ATBU Teaching hospital for treatment.
I have never dated Lami in my life. I only counselled her on how to go about her life affairs. Why would she attack my wife who is three-month pregnant just because she admires me?” Ayodele asked.
Confirming the incidence, the Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State Command, Mahmoud Mohammed, said Lami was arrested on September 27th.

Mohammed, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, said that personal property worth thousands of naira were destroyed during the attack and that the suspect has been charged to court.

Man disguised as a dancing security guard propose to his girlfriend in a shopping centre (Photos)

A man decided to make a song and dance out of his wedding proposal by calling on the help of a flash mob as he got down on one knee.

Sarah Cronin was enjoying coffee with a friend when dancers suddenly sprang to life in a synchronised routine to Marry Me by Bruno Mars, at the Runcorn Shopping Centre in Cheshire.

Shocked Sarah was bemused by the spontaneous showcase, but was even more flabbergasted when she spotted partner Jay Timms dancing over to her table.

Jay, dressed as a security guard in a red jacket, and wearing a wig, then dropped to one one knee and proposed in front of 300 shocked shoppers.

Sarah said: 'I'm still in shock. I kept looking round seeing all these faces of people I knew wondering what they are all doing here.

'I even saw by best friend from school who I've known since I was eight.'
Recalling the moment the music started, Sarah explained she was astonished to be surrounded by dancers.

She said: 'The girl cleaning my table started dancing.
'Then I saw Jay in a daft, stupid wig and he gestured to me to come over. I was crying.'

Jay had been planning the proposal for three months but learnt the routine with the dancers just two hours before performing.

He said: 'I saw an American version on YouTube. A friend choreographed it for me and has been secretly sending me videos. It was bizarre.

'I couldn't stop crying and neither could Sarah. 'She is incredible. She has been through so much. We are so happy together.'
